PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
* Manage, support and provide guidance to a team of financial
accountants responsible for the financial reporting of a number of
ICON legal entities.
* Ensure the financial, statutory and taxation reporting for a
portfolio of ICON entities is completed accurately and in accordance
with the Group**Apply on the website**;s reporting timetable and
relevant statutory reporting deadlines.
* Take an active role in the development of the financial reporting
function in Dublin.
THE ROLE:
* Responsible for delivering full monthly management accounts
spanning a portfolio of countries consistent with US GAAP to strict
deadlines
* Manage full Trial Balance and maintain monthly Balance Sheet
reconciliations
* Manage, develop and strengthen the financial reporting team. This
includes people management, performance management, employee
relations, and training & development
* Developing solid relationships with various non finance depts
located in regional offices whereby finance support the business and
contribute to the decision process
* Create and maintain a strong customer centric culture within the
financial reporting team
* Full responsibility for ensuring entities are compliant with local
legislative requirements, i.e., Financial Statements, tax returns,
etc.
* Liaising with local financial/taxation advisors as required
* Continuous review of the regional legislative environment to
ensure the financial/tax aspects is in order and assist non finance
depts in their compliance requirements
* Ensuring processes are SOX compliant
* Assisting the Finance Director with global process ownership for
Financial Accounting
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
* Be a fully qualified member of an internationally recognized
accounting body (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
* At least 5 yrs relevant PQE gained in an international environment
(or qualified by relevant experience) in management accounting, tax
and operational support of a business
* Exposure to shared service / centralized offshore financial
reporting environment
* Experience of managing a team and delivering results
* Ability to build strong relationships with non-finance departments
* Ability to manage on own initiative, manage tasks/assignments and
problem solve
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Team player
* Attention to detail
* Oracle experience & advanced excel an advantage
